MEANING OF NAMES AND LABELS

sasone gold.jpg

SASSòNE

Name of the cliff or very large stone in which the town of Camerano rises. It's also the name of a sub zone where the bell tower of the Church of San Francesco is located. The houses and palaces constructed in 1327 on this big stone have natural and partially man made caves just under their foundations. The coat of arms on the label is the logo of our winery.

In 2016 our Sassòne took 90/100 from Winespectator. The first time we present the Sassòne wine and we got this amazing score.

In 2020 our Sassòne took Gold Medal from Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards. The first time that we present our Sassòne at this Competition.

In 2023 our Sassòne took 90/100 from Gilbert & Gaillard. The first time that we present our Sassòne at this Competition.

Camars_gold.jpg

CAMARS

Etruscan name for Camerano, a small village at the foothills of Mount Conero, where our winery is based. ...When I was young I had a very quiet and calm personality. Then as I grew older, I was faced with tension filled sibling rivalry with my younger brother. As a result, my temperament had changed to the point where my Grandmother one day compared my temperament to that of a goat.

In 2016 our Camars took 88/100 from Winespectator. The first time we present this wine.

In 2018 our Camars received “Excellence” from the Italian Somelier Ais-Marche Association at the 10th edition of the "Marche nel Bicchiere 2018". The first time we present our Camars to this competition.

In 2020 our Camars took Gold Medal from Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards. The first time that we present our Camars at this Competition.

Adino.jpg

ADINO

Name of my great Father, The symbol of Owl is a reminder of my Fathers character and personality; a quiet / silent  man, a hard worker and a great protector of his family. He also, just like the owl, worked at night !

In 2016 our Adino took 84/100 from Winespectator. The first time we present this wine.

ventipercento

Twenty percent represents  the percentage of skins of the Merlot grapes, which sit on the must for about 6 hours in order to obtain a deep pink color. The label represents a sort of blackboard where the "20%" seems to be written with chalk. The embossed signature on the label is the original signature of my Father.

Annachiara.jpg

annachiara

Is a name derived from the name Anna and name Chiara. Anna is the name of my daughter and Chiara is the name of my brother's daughter. The inspiration for the label is from the English poet William Wordsworth. It speaks about celestial beauty that one feels from the landscape of the countryside, forests and rivers.

ALTERO'S (2).jpg

altero's

Altero'S means the wine of Altero Spinsanti. Altero was the name of my father's elder brother, who died very young, to whom my father was particularly attached and for him he was a beloved brother, from whom he drew inspiration, power and strength. Extraordinary person and hard worker. I dedicated this wine to him because even though he flew to heaven very early it is still in our memories and thoughts.

sisto v pont. max

This sparkling wine made from pecorino grapes is dedicated to Felice Peretti, born in Grottammare, in the Marche Region, on 13 December 1521 and died in Rome on 27 August 1590; SISTO V was the 227th Pope of the Catholic Church, elected April 24, 1585.
He was nicknamed, rightly, "the iron Pope". In fact, "Sisto, a true ruler, authoritarian, determined and inflexible, immediately began to restore order to the papal state using energetic repressive measures. Later he dealt with economic and financial reforms. Provided to fix the prices of food, drain the swamps, encourage agriculture and the manufacture of wool and silk, thus improving the conditions of his subjects.

mamma elvia

This sparkling wine made from passerina grapes is dedicated to Elvia Baldoni, my beautiful, charming and very sweet mother. We tenderly called Gigiotta, I don't know why, and she probably didn't like this nickname, but it inspired us with sweetness. She was a strong, beautiful and very good woman: she did not like injustice and never missed an opportunity to help people; this made her happy.

rosaviolina

This sparkling wine made from Sangiovese grapes is dedicated to this rose with a delicate pink color, called rosa violina. The pleasant fragrance of this variety slightly intensifies its romantic and nostalgic effect. The scent of this fantastic variety blends harmoniously with its strong growth.

rosabianca

This sparkling wine made from white Muscat grapes is dedicated to this white with a pure white color, called white rose. The white color indicates candor, purity, light, joy. It is a spiritual color. the white rose is linked to feelings of love, but much more platonic, courtly and heartfelt. The color, in fact, refers to the candor of an indissoluble love, to affection, to mutual esteem. Just like the feeling that binds a child to his mother. White Muscat: its name derives from muscum (musk) due to its intense aroma and its sweet aroma.
